We're starting to plant some vegetables today. I think it will be a good thing to have some of our fresh produce in our diet here in Georgia. Although I do eat some fresh vegetables here, I am craving some of my mom's homemade tomato sauce so bad. Can't wait to have some of that!!
Have you ever tried growing your own veggies? Please leave a comment to share your experience!

I am very excited to tell you about an amazing new program called Cubase Elements 8. It is a free trial and it is the next evolution of Cubase sound/music software. There is even a screencast about it on the YouTube videos. I haven't had a chance to try it yet but I can't wait to get my hands on it to see what it can do. Plus, it's got a lot of new sound and effects.
One of the great features of Cubase Elements 8 is that it will run on your computer even if you don't have a CD-ROM drive. It has the ability to "burn" the sounds right into your computer so you can listen to music without having a CD-ROM drive or even a computer. You can make music just by clicking on the mouse. I think this is a great way to teach music to kids. They can practice their instruments or play with sounds without having to actually use a CD-ROM. It's really cool. You can even edit music right from your keyboard.
You can make music right from your keyboard...so cool.
Cubase Elements 8 also lets you create music without recording. This is a feature I'm really excited about. I love the idea of being able to make music without recording. I think this feature could really open up musical creativity for my kids. I have started using it to help my girls create music for different songs. You can change the key, create variations or have your kids play along with the music that you make. I like to turn this feature on when I start a new project. The girls can follow along. It really helps them understand how music is made.
There is also a screencast available on YouTube about this great new software. It
